Redefining Human Health
Through the EFV Equation

The Science Behind the EFV Equation

At EFV Medical, we are a MedTech startup dedicated to exploring preventive and interventional approaches that may support human health fundamentals. Powered by the EFV Equation E = F × V² we pursue technologies aligned with foundational principles of resilience and performance in living systems. Inspired by the elegance of E=mc², where small inputs yield massive outputs through a squared constant, our equation distills a profound truth in physiology: Efficiency (E) in overcoming challenges like infections equals Fortitude (F)—the adaptive strength of immune responses—multiplied by Vitality (V) squared.

Vitality here encompasses the enabling infrastructure of health, such as endothelial function, microcirculation, and metabolic integrity. Why squared? Because research shows that even modest improvements in vitality amplify outcomes nonlinearly. For instance, healthy endothelial cells—the lining of blood vessels—act as a dynamic barrier, regulating immune cell access to tissues and preventing excessive inflammation during infections. When vitality falters, as in endothelial dysfunction, it can escalate mild threats into severe conditions.

The Science Behind the EFV Equation

The beauty of EFV lies in its scalability—it mirrors patterns that repeat across levels of complexity, much like fractals in nature. Fractals are self-similar structures where small parts resemble the whole, optimizing efficiency in biological systems. Consider a fern leaf: its branching repeats at every scale, maximizing surface area for light capture with minimal material. Similarly, EFV principles apply fractally in health.
